Frequently asked questions

  • All our staff, including office personnel, ground staff (drivers and passenger assistants), and workshop employees, undergo Enhanced DBS checks through Surrey County Council as well as referencing.

  • All our staff participate in regular training tailored to their roles, primarily delivered in-house to ensure nothing is overlooked. We also conduct refresher sessions for all employees. Our training programs include mandatory safeguarding courses, specialised CCR training, disability awareness, first aid, and managing challenging behaviour. Additionally, we offer medical protocol training to staff based on the specific needs of our passengers whenever necessary.

  • Depending on the child's needs, they may be transported in a saloon car, an MPV, or a minibus. These vehicles can also be modified to accommodate the specific requirements of the children on the route, e.g. use of special harness, seat belt clips etc.

  • At CCR, safety comes first, ensuring your child is transported in a secure and caring environment. We ensure safety by conducting thorough maintenance checks on our vehicles periodically ensuring they are in optimal condition. We use a dedicated app for tracking and communication, keeping parents informed at all times. Additionally, we have standby drivers and vehicles ready for any unexpected situations.

  • If the transport is delayed or fails to arrive due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact our operations team via phone or message. At CCR, we understand that delays can occur in human-led operations, and we handle such situations with great care, ensuring that everyone is informed as early as possible.

  • Contact the office as soon as possible and give full information to the officer.

  • We operate primarily according to the council’s timetable, but adjustments can occasionally be made if all parties are in agreement and informed. The best approach is to contact the county’s transport team to suggest and give reasoning. They will then work with us to see what is possible and hence come back to you.

  • Contact the office as soon as possible and give full information to the officer.

  • We stay informed about any road closures through our office and local schools. If any delays occur, we promptly communicate with everyone affected to keep them updated so the staff can take alternative routes and keep parents updated.
